BPS helps mining and metal processing companies extract new profits from old waste. Our patented DEMET™ technology can convert waste streams into revenue and cost-effectively recover metals and key residuals from target processing streams.

Specifically designed for practical and superior performance with very dilute streams, DEMET™ can cost-effectively upgrade low-grade PLS, providing new possibilities for economical production from plentiful sub-economic sulfide ores and tailings. When treating metal laden wastewater, valuable components can be extracted and recovered, generating new revenue and lessening the load (and costs) for downstream final polishing treatments.

BPS not only improves an operation’s productivity and profitability, but also cuts production costs and reduces the operation’s environmental impact. BPS can increase the life of existing mines by enabling more complete use of metal from marginal ores that are currently sub-economic for conventional processing.

​DEMET™ Technology: The patented BPS DeMet technology was originally designed to target profitable mitigation of Acid Rock Drainage (ARD) at abandoned mine sites. It uses a proprietary electrolytic process to cost effectively remove/reclaim target metals, separate them from input/waste streams, and recover them in desired cleaned/concentrated marketable products. This process changes the conventional wastewater treatment paradigm by converting costly disposal of precipitated contaminants (hazardous sludge) into new revenues. DeMet continues to rapidly evolve in ways that address a variety of metal toxins and contaminants, and various product outputs can be created as desired.
